Sometime during 1987 whilst at Kidbrooke school,the conversation between myself & Nick broke away briefly from music to the subject of football.I said we should arrange a match at the woolwich stadium between his friends and mine,and he agreed.I turned up on the agreed sunday and continued to warm up on the field.The hours passed yet no Nicky and his team.It was just aswell as i was shattered by the preperation we had put in,and was on the verge of collapse. Nicky clearly held his music dearest to his heart and it paid off judging by the success he had. I will always remember ' the game that never was '. Rest in peace my friend Stephen
